Obituary

RAPID CITY - Sherry Lea Rossier Watson passed away on September 10, 2025, a few days after her 78th birthday.

Sherry was born on September 7, 1947 in Rapid City, South Dakota to Shirley Kirkwood and John Rossier.

She attended Rapid City High School and shortly after graduating moved with her family to Southern California where she would marry the father of her three daughters, Stephanie, Heide, and Betsy.

To all those who knew and loved her, Sherry was a free spirit, wavering like the waves over the vast ocean, that she so much loved, particularly the sands of Newport Beach, California.  During the 1960's she became a pioneer of the holistic, organic movement in California, that would forever be a foundational practice in her life and her home.  In the 1980's she went to Cosmetology school and started her career as a hair stylist.

She dedicated her life to God and his worship, sharing her love and knowledge with others.  Sherry was a cat lover and throughout her life, no matter the circumstances, she had one and sometimes many cats to love and keep her company.

Sherry is survived by her husband Andre Watson; her daughters: Stephanie Hager, Heide Lund, Betsy Brayman; her sister Cindy Pesavento; her brother Bill Kirkwood; her sister in-law Kathy Rossier; two sons in-law, six nieces and nephews, ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren, and her three cherished cats, Baby, Bear, and Ming.

She is preceded by her father John Rossier; her mother Shirley Kirkwood; her brother Timothy Rossier, and her nephew Kyle Rossier.

Funeral Services TBD.

Arrangements with Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.
