Shirley B. Dudley, 80, died at Rapid City Regional Hospital on Monday, March 9, 2015. She was born on November 17, 1934, in Webster, Massachusetts, to Frederick Robert and Irene (Cote) Och. Shirley grew up there and graduated from high school. She served in the US Army and was then united in marriage to Joseph William Dudley. Shirley went on the attain her Associates Degree in Executive Housekeeping. Shirley was employed by Hospital Corporation of American, based in Nashville, Tennessee. She traveled throughout the country organizing housekeeping departments in healthcare facilities. She retired in 1991 and eventually moved to Rapid City. Shirley was a loving mother and enjoyed reading biographies. Survivors include 2 daughters, Cheryl (Tony) Schwarz, Hill City, South Dakota and Patty (Tom) Jeffers, Camby, Indiana; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a daughter, Beverly Dudley. Services and inurnment will be a later date in Massachusetts.
