Stephan Roman Kurylas Stevo passed away on August 13, 2011 at home in Gambrills, MD. He was born on May 25, 1991 in Washington, D.C. Stephan graduated with honors from South River High School in 2009 and then enrolled at the University of Maryland to further his education. An avid skier, Stephan also was an enthusiast of water sports. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and deeply loved all of his family and his dog, Dewey. He is survived by his loving parents, Dr. Stephan Charles Kurylas of Gambrills, MD and Amy Cooper Kurylas of Millersville, MD; his sister, Andrea Elizabeth Kurylas; his grandparents, Dr. Roman and Wilma Kurylas of Rapid City, South Dakota and Ann and Milton Cooper of Tequesta, Florida; two uncles, four aunts and 9 cousins. Family will receive friends at the family-owned Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 from 6pm-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1800 Seton Dr., Crofton, MD 21114 on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 11am. Christian Wake Service will be at 7:00 p.m., on Saturday, August 20, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, at Blessed Sacrament Church in Rapid City with Rev. Janusz Korban presiding. Interment will follow at Mt.
