Rapid City Stephanie Rae Hayes, 31, of Rapid City died Thursday, May 20, 2010 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital. She was born February 22, 1979 at Rapid City. She attended General Beadle School, North Middle School, and Rapid City Central High School. She worked at various places in Rapid City until she became ill in November of 2009. According to her family, Stephanie was the Number 1 babysitter for the rest of the family. Survivors include her mother: Stacey L. Hayes of Rapid City; father: Wayne Wilcox of Rapid City; Step-father: Peter Capossela of Walterville, Oregon; one sister: Cassidy T. Hayes-Capossela of Walterville, Oregon; three little sisters: Sunny Hayes of Rapid City, Stormy Hayes of Rapid City, and Skye Hayes of Rapid City; two brothers: Courtney Hayes of Rapid City and Ranen Hayes of Rapid City; maternal grandmother: Delores M. Hayes of Rapid City; paternal grandmother: Laura Wilcox of Rapid City; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers: Larry Hayes and Bill Wilcox. An all-night Wake Service will begin at 7:00 PM, Monday, May 24 at Mother Butler Center. Funeral Mass will be held 9:00 AM, Tuesday, May 25 at Mother Butler Center, 221 Knollwood Drive with Rev. Father David Matsko, presiding. Burial will be held at Mt. View Cemetery at Rapid City.
