Rapid City - Susan Kay Guhin, 66, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 after a brief illness.

Susan was born September 22, 1951, to Howard and Gladys Guhin, in Rapid City, where she grew up and graduated from Rapid City High in 1970.  Susan graduated from the University of South Dakota with a degree in Business.  Upon graduation, she moved to Tucson, AZ and worked at the Kitt Peak National Observatory and later trained as a Message Therapist.  Susan worked for ten years at the Canyon Ranch Spa in Tucson.  She returned to Rapid City in the late 80s to care for her mother and made it her home.  Susan worked at several businesses, most recently at ASI, Inc. where she enjoyed the camaraderie of her coworkers.

Her interests included sewing, reading, riding her bike and she loved, loved, loved her furry friends Rosa, Comet and Buster.

Susan is survived by her sister in law, Darlene Guhin and four nieces; Emily Eaton (Scott), Amy McAuliffe (Michael), Betsey Hedrick (Phil) and Merry Halverson (Seth) and numerous great nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Howard and Gladys Guhin, and her brothers Vince and James Guhin.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Pine Lawn Memorial Park in Rapid City, SD.
