Susan Schneider, 64, of Rapid City, died Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital.

She was born on April 10, 1953 to O. Dale and Lois A. (Jenkins) Sayler in Rapid City.

Susan was a free spirit, who loved life, her family and friends.  Susan was married to Wayne Schneider in 1976. Shortly after their son, Matthew, was born, they moved to Gillette, WY, where she and her husband owned and operated Powder Basin Glass and they raised their son. Susan loved to help people, so she became a certified hypnotherapist. Early in 2000 she moved to Westminster, CO where she worked for a paint company and landscape company. A few years ago, Susan relocated back to her home town of Rapid City.

She is survived by her son, Matthew Schneider, Denver, Her sister, Cheryl Sayler, Rapid City and Knoxville, TN, her niece, Teresa Sayler, Knoxville and nephew, Kevin Sayler, Dillon, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Larry and his wife Doreen.

Visitation will be held at Osheim Schmidt funeral home on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 between 2-3 pm.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the American Legion Post Home, 818 E. St Patrick St.
