RAPID CITY- Susan (Schumacher) Tirman, 53, died December 20, 2012 at home in Rapid City. Susan was born December 11, 1959 at Ellsworth AFB, SD to LeRoy and Ruth Schumacher. She graduated Cum Laude from Central High School in 1977. She started working at Rapid City Journal after High School. She then was married and moved to New York where she worked as an Administrative Secretary at Nassau University Medical Center on Long Island, NY for 23 years and worked part time for Target for 13 years. She will be remembered for be a loving mother, faithful friend, hard worker, and always had a smile for everyone. Survivors include one daughter, Erika Tirman and husband Michael Lamprecht, Rapid City; parents: LeRoy and Ruth Schumacher, Rapid City; two sisters: Debra (Roger) Widner of Farmington, MN; Laurie (Phillip) Campbell, Rapid City; one grandson, Ethan Lamprecht; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2pm-4pm, Sunday, December 23, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 am, Monday, December 24, at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Winckler officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Rapid City. A memorial has been established for the Sloan-Kettering Cancer Medical Center in New York, New York.
