RAPID CITY - Teresa J. Jones, 59, Rapid City, died Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Teresa was born March 25, 1952, to Raymond and Berniece (Fosbinder) Teply in McCook, Neb. She attended rural school in Hayes County before attending Chambers High School, in Nebraska. Teresa lived in Nebraska, Texas, Florida (where she enjoyed the beach); Tennessee (where she and her husband were very active in square dancing); and South Dakota (where she enjoyed touring the Black Hills, especially Mount Rushmore). She enjoyed decorating for Christmas, going to auctions and garage sales. Her favorite flower was roses. Her favorite music was country western music. She had a wide selection of jewelry that accented any occasion. One of her favorite pastimes was visiting with friends and neighbors. Survivors include a son, Shane Harley, Bonanza, Ore.; three stepsons, Richard Jones, Fort Orange, Fla., Robert Jones, Sumner, Wash., and Roger Jones, Rapid City; three stepdaughters, Cindy Roese, Denver, Tami Kratovil, Martin, and Maryann Kieffer, Rapid City; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Rodney Teply, Loup City, Neb.; and two sisters, Connie Masek, Schaumburg, Ill., and Susan Dorsey, Houston, Texas; and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent, in May, 2011; her parents; and a brother, Gary. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with an 8 p.m. Christian Wake service today at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help with the Rev. Ed Vanorny presiding. Interment will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society in Teresa's name.
