Terranna "Terry" Lopez McGee, aged 70, passed away on May 14, 2025, in Hoffman Estates, IL. Born on April 28, 1955, Terry attended St. James Catholic School and graduated from Humphrey County High School. He then furthered his education by attending Michigan State, where he perused a BA in Photography. Terry dedicated a significant portion of his life to military service and career, notably spending nearly a decade in the Air Force. Following his military service, he worked as a cab driver for Rosemont, IL., later he began his career as a cameraman for Fox News. Not only was his time in TV news a role he thoroughly enjoyed, he also worked in top markets in the nation, including Detroit and Los Angeles. Terry was a man of many interests. He was passionate about photography, his ancestors and creating content for YouTube. Terry enjoyed spending holidays with his family and friends. His love for traveling took him to many places, including Thailand shortly before his passing.
Terry is survived by his daughters, Katie LeClair Connolly (Jeff) and Elen Maree Pease; grandchildren, Henry and Margaret; sister, Victoria McGee; niece, Cheniqua Lee; and great-nieces, Corley ha and ZaRiah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gracie and Edkline McGee, and his nephew, Cortney McGee.
A Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. A graveside service and burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Black Hills National Cemetery.
