Obituary

Rapid City - Terri Stuck passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024.  She was raised in Brighton, Colorado by Warren and Shirley Wall with brother Michael and sister Cindy.  She was a loving mother and grandmother, a devoted wife and the best friend to her extended family.  Terri graduated from the University of Northern Colorado and then spent two years in the Peace Corps on Pohnpei, an island in the western Pacific.   She moved to Rapid City in 1977 and taught English in the Rapid City Public Schools.  Terri was a great supporter of public schools and served several years as the Chairperson of the Rapid City Public School Foundation.   She obtained two master's degrees, in Education and Social Work, and embarked on a career in private practice as a family therapist impacting the lives of many families.  Terri also served on the United Way Board.

Terri married Haven in 1984, and son Logan and daughter Taylor came into their lives in 1987 and 1988.  She loved to travel and with Haven visited about seventy countries on all seven continents which included a trek around Annapurna in Nepal, the Galapagos, the Antarctic, Egypt, Israel and safaris in Africa.  Logan's family lives in The Netherlands, giving Haven and Terri the opportunity to travel extensively in Europe.  Terri was an avid reader, a certified scuba diver, tennis player and skier.  We will all miss her kindness, friendship, smile and love.

Terri is survived by her husband Haven, son Logan (Lotus), grandson Tobi Stuck, daughter Taylor (Lisa), granddaughters Hannah, Ava and Liv, sister Cindy Diers (Brad), brother Michael Wall, brother-in-law Lauren Stuck (Kathy), sister-in-law Karen Stuck, nieces and nephews, Nathan Stuck (Michelle), Travis Wall, Ashley Heffron (Korey), Blair Zobel (Brandon), and Casey Diers (Jenny), and many great nieces and nephews.  Terri was preceded in death by her parents, nephew Tyler Stuck and sister-in-law Debbie Wall.

Contributions in her name to the Rapid City Public School Foundation would go to a great cause she loved and be a perfect memorial to Terri's legacy.
