Hill City – Terry Scott Tomlinson, 68, died Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Monument Health Home Plus Hospice House in Rapid City, SD.

Terry was born April 3, 1957 in Rapid City, SD to Larry C. and Beverly Ann (Paulson) Tomlinson. He attended school and graduated from high school in Mt. Judea, Arkansas. He then attended the University of Arkansas for one year and returned back to Rapid City. He married Denise Munger in June of 1981.

He was a finish carpenter most of his career in the Rapid City area. He loved to play music and write songs. He also liked to play basketball, watch football and esp. the New Orleans Saints and was a fan of the Atlanta Braves baseball team. He also liked rock hunting.

Terry is survived by his son Timothy Tomlinson of Hill City; two brothers: Mike Tomlinson of Fairhope, Alabama and Jim Odle of Hill City; grandsons: Haze Tomlinson of Hustontown, Pennsylvania and Freya Tomlinson of Hill City; two nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Beverly Odle-Anderson, father: Larry Tomlinson, and brother: John Glaze.

At the request of Terry, there will be no services scheduled.
