Rapid City – Theodore "Ted" John Soukup, 50, died Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Monument Health Rapid City Regional Hospital.

He was born April 15, 1974 at Armour, SD to Daniel Francis and Joyce Ann (Matucha) Soukup. The family later moved to Rapid City, SD. Ted grew to adulthood and attended school in Rapid City, graduating from Rapid City Stevens High School in 1992.

He was married to Jessica Glaser and they were later divorced.

He went to Denver, CO and attended an Auto Body School, and returning to Rapid City, to attend Western Dakota Tech for 3 years and studied computer science. He worked for several computer and radio business' as a repairman.

In 2009 he had some health issues which resulted of Ted being confined to a wheelchair. Ted liked the color blue, filet mignon, Superbowl Sunday, and esp. drumming. He was a drummer in the 7th Calvary Drum & Bugle Corp for 3 years and while in high school at Stevens he was a drummer in the band.

Ted is survived by his mother: Joyce Soukup of Rapid City, two brothers: Dean (Dawn) Soukup of Parkston, SD and Christopher Soukup of PA, and one niece: Reagan Soukup.

He was preceded in death by his father Daniel and one son: Keaton Soukup.

Burial Services will be 2:00 pm Friday, December 13 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Rapid City.
