Rapid City – Thomas J. Krebsbach,passed away unexpectedly at his Rapid City home Saturday, June 23, 2018 after a brief illness at the age of 61.

Preceded in death by his parents, David and Doris Krebsbach, he is survived by his family, Donna and Tanner Knapp and siblings Mike (Carole) Krebsbach of Vilseck, Germany, Kate (Rich) Hardegger of Calgary, Alberta, Bob (Jody) Krebsbach of Sioux Falls, SD, Steve (Sue) Krebsbach of Austin, TX, and Matt (Steph) Krebsbach of Rapid City, SD and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces.

Tom was born in Duluth, MN, but spent his early years growing up in the Air Force base community of Ramstein, Germany and Rapid City, SD.  He attended Rapid City Central High School and Black Hills State University, where he received an accounting degree. Tom was most proud to parent Tanner and to support his development as an athlete, student, and person.  He was an avid hunter, sports trivia know-it-all, baseball superfan, Vikings fanatic, terrific two-stepper, worst carpenter ever, creative cribbage scorekeeper, and all around good guy. He loved Rapid City and the Black Hills.  His enthusiasm for firing up the grill and chilling/swilling some beer will be missed.

His Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 pm Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.
