Thomas D. Pawlak, 75, died at his home on Wednesday, October 26, 2016.
He was born on December 9, 1940, in Camden, New Jersey, to Wallace and Eleanor (Bonk) Pavlak. He served in the US Air Force for 4 years. On September 16, 1961, he was united in marriage to Virginia Smith. He was employed at US Steel as a lab technician and at Cargill Salt.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Pawlak, of Rapid City; a daughter, Janet Pawlak, of Rapid City; 2 sons, Christopher (Jenny) Pawlak, Owego, NY and David Pawlak, Burlington, NJ; a sister, Barbara Cooklin, Collingswood, NJ and 5 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Rapid City with the Rev. Joshua Jones officiating.
Burial, with military honors rendered by VFW Post 1273 and Ellsworth Air Force Base Honor Guard will be at 12 Noon at Black Hills National Cemetery.
