MILWAUKEE- Timothy John Stanczyk died unexpectedly on December 3, 2012, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Born on July 2, 1956, in Rapid City, South Dakota, he was the son of Mary and Frank Stanczyk, and the youngest brother of Greg, Mark, and Mike Stanczyk. Tim graduated from Rapid City Central High School in 1974. He then attended a Rapid City Vo-tech School and worked in construction before finding his true calling as a salesman for Schwan's. In 1978 Tim moved to Dallas, Texas where he continued his career with Schwan's. He married Jacqueline Thames in Denton, Texas. Tim and Jackie and their daughter Shannon lived in Denton and then in Longview, Texas when Tim was promoted to management with Schwan's and Red Barron Pizza. In 2001 Tim returned to live in Rapid City. Tim took a trip to Watertown, Wisconsin, in 2010, to visit his cousins. He loved his time there so much he decided to move to Watertown in 2011. In his short time there, he touched many lives and was treated like family. Tim, known as "Dice" to family and friends, was a fun, outgoing guy. He enjoyed living, working, and playing in Rapid City, especially participating in many recreational sports leagues. He treated his friends like family and enthusiastically welcomed all into his wide, warm circle. Always the life of the party, he truly lived by the philosophy of "the more, the merrier!" Tim was preceded in death by his brother Greg, father Frank, and mother Mary. He is survived by his daughter Shannon Selby of Denton, Texas; his brothers Mike of Rapid City and Mark of Denver, Colorado; many cousins, and several nieces and nephews. Christian Funeral Mass will be offered at 5:00 p.m., Friday, December 14, at St. Therese Church with Rev. William Zandri presiding. Private family Interment will be at a later date.
