Obituary

RAPID CITY- Timothy Anast, 65, Rapid City, died Monday, January 23, 2012 in an automobile accident in Colorado. He was born on December 9, 1946 in Chicago, Il. Tim earned undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Maine and a degree from The Landing School of Boat Building and Design in Kennebunkport, Maine. Tim married Maureen Mullin on April 26, 1986 and they lived on the coast of Maine where Tim was a boat builder following his passion of designing and renovating antique and classic wooden boats. Tim and Maureen relocated to Rapid City in 2006. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Constantine and Fern Anast of Boston, Ma. Tim is survived by his wife, Maureen, and brothers Dr. George (Cheryl) Anast of Las Vegas, Nv, Robert (Cindy) Anast of St. Charles, Il., and Dr. William (Christina) Anast of Creve Coeur, Mo. Tim is also survived by his in-laws whom he loved dearly, Frank and Annette Mullin of Rapid City, Thomas Mullin of Rapid City, Dan and Rene Saeger of Brentwood Ca., and Mark and Holli Mullin of Dallas, Texas. Tim was a loving uncle to Stephen and Charlotte Saeger of Fresno, Ca., Lt. Michael Saeger, United States Air Force, Ryan and Courtney Mullin of Dallas, Tx., and Lacie Mullin of Dallas, Tx. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 am Friday, Feb. 3, 2012 at Blessed Sacrament Church with Rev. Msgr. William OConnell presiding and Priests of the Diocese con-celebrating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Cornerstone Rescue Mission in Rapid City or the charity of your choice.
