SUMMERSET - Todd M. Smith, 45, Summerset, passed away Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Todd was born in Biloxi, MS, on Oct. 17, 1963, to Roger and Susan Smith. He grew up and attended school in Hastings, NE, and then attended barber school. He married Vicki Crumm on June 21, 1991, in Kearney, NE. He owned a barbershop in Kearney and a bar in Shelton, NE. Todd then ran the Pace Setter (direct to homeowner siding and window sales) office in Hermosa. He was also employed at Hagen Glass and most recently at Superior Siding. He enjoyed playing guitar, was a good card player (especially poker) and liked riding his motorcycle. He was very generous, would do anything for anybody and had the biggest heart in the world. Survivors include his wife, Vicki and two sons, Mike and Jake, all of Summerset; his mother, Susan (Donald) Gartner; his father, Roger Smith; a brother, Scott; and two sisters, Andrea and Amy. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at the Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Piedmont Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
