BLACK HAWK- Thomas C. "Tom" Broadbent, 63, died Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City.

He was born August 4, 1956 in Rapid City to Gerald M. and Ruth V. (Duff) Broadbent. After graduating from high school, Tom enlisted in the US Navy.

Tom loved to ride his 1981 Shovelhead motorcycle and have cook outs with family and friends. Tom was a grateful member of AA and his church. He enjoyed doing a benefit for the Children's Home every year to help raise money. Tom had a love for kids and helping people out. He was a member of the Rushmore Round Up and the Rule 29 AA group.

Tom enjoyed doing many things. He liked to play cribbage and do woodworking.  He loved watching Jag, Nash Bridges, Monk, The High Chaparral, WWE wrestling, golf and Nascar races. Tom looked forward to attending the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally every year.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; and stepson, Kenneth Heuer.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Margaret; daughter, Shanda (Brandon) Clevenger; stepson, Samuel Hahn; brother, John (Maria); grandchildren: Blake and Ivy; niece, Jennifer (Kevin); nephew, Jeremy; great nephews: Xchyler, Kaiser, Jagger, Michael and great niece, Alyciea.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Black Hawk Community Church with lunch to follow.
