Obituary

Vicki May Eisenbraun, 62, of Rapid City, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022, at the Hospice House in Rapid City, after care by her family at home for the previous several weeks.

Vicki was born on May 30, 1960.  Parents were George M. and Millicent Baker of Spearfish, So. Dak. She grew up in Spearfish and graduated high school in 1979.  She worked for a while in the hospitality and accounting businesses and then found her career in insurance.  In 1996 , she joined Coreen Lerwick's State Farm office in Spearfish.  In 2001, she moved to Rapid City and joined the Rodney Alexander 's State Farm office.  Vicki's clients appreciated her kind , personal and prompt attention to their needs and questions.

Vicki will be deeply missed by her family, friends, work associates and close neighbors.  Aside from her work life, she loved nature and animals.  She was a supporter of animal rescue organizations.  In her younger years she loved to camp in the Black Hills. She especially enjoyed traveling, usually to where there was a warm, sunny beach. She loved connecting with people and visiting with them. She liked cooking and reading. Vicki was preceded in death by her g randmother, Olive Ziegler, Cape May Court House, New Jersey; p arents : George M. and Millicent Baker, Spearfish; her s ister Linda Baker Buchholz, Spearfish and f ormer spouse David Eisenbraun.

Vicki is survived by her brother and sister in law, Dennis and Betsy Baker, Jasper, Georgia and their many children /grandchildren; her s ister and brother in law Loretta Baker-Labas and Ken Labas, now of Rapid City; her s ister: LoRayne Baker and M el Lutz of Rapid City, and e xtended family in Denver, Minnesota, Belle Fourche, Rapid City, and her brother in law Walter Buchholz, Spearfish.

Services will be at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home in Rapid City on Thursday, Jan. 5 th, with v isitation from 9:00-10:00 am followed by a service at 10:00 am.  Light refreshments will follow the service.

Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Spearfish at 1:30 pm

Memorials may be directed to Hospice House/Hospice of the Hills and the Northern Hills Humane Society.
