Viola J. "Vi" Marshall, 79, Rapid City and former Sturgis resident, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010 at Rapid City Regional Auxilliary Hospice House. Surviving are a son, Kevin, Tempe, AZ,and 1 daughter, Dawn Filipeli, Aurora, CO., 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 son, Steve, her husband, Louis E. Arends, 1 brother and 1 sister. Memorial services will be 10:30 Tuesday, Sept. 21, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Savot officiating. At her request, she was cremated and there will be no visitation. Inurnment will be in Black Hills National Cemetery.
