Rapid City - Vivia L. Aubert, 57 of Rapid City died Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Vivia Lyn Walker was born May 3, 1953 at Deadwood, South Dakota to George and Erma [Alexander] Walker. She attended school, grew to adulthood, and lived most of her life in Deadwood. She worked in the Prospector Gift Shop for 17 years before moving to Rapid City in 2000. She married Ray Aubert on December 12, 1970 at Deadwood. Survivors include her husband, Raymond D. Aubert, Rapid City; one son: Raymond Aubert, Jr. Spearfish; two daughters: Carey (Bart) Ham and Renae (Roy) Aubert-Thomas both of Rapid City; three brothers: Lloyd Walker of Lead, John Walker of Whitewood and Dale Walker, of Grand Junction, Colorado; one sister: Cheryl Hill of Grand Junction, Colorado and four grandchildren: Brinton Hamm, Mason Hamm, Kyle Aubert, and Ashya Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister: Claudette Tobin and one grandson: Brayden Aubert Thomas. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 25, 2011 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, 2700 Jackson Boulevard in Rapid City with Rev. Herb B. Cleveland officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Deadwood, South Dakota.
