Wanda Mae (Wegner) Stapelberg, 88, passed away February 2nd, 2022, at her home in Rapid City, South Dakota.

She was born December 10, 1933, on her family's farm in Bertha, MN to Walt and Gertrude Wegner. Wanda attended a one-room schoolhouse and then high school in Bertha.

She met her husband of 54 years, Robert (Bob) Stapelberg while he was attending the University of Minnesota. Wanda was a homemaker most of her life but, after her children were older, she worked several years for SCI, a company in Rapid City, helping to make computer memory boards.

Bob preceded her in death by 12 years, passing away on September 1st, 2010. Wanda was also predeceased by her parents, brothers: James, Larry and Duane, and sisters: baby Kathleen and Joanne Botterbusch, as well as Joanne's husband Robert.

Survivors include daughters, Susan Drymalski and her husband, Andrew, Reno, Nev., Teresa Stapelberg, Portland, Ore., and Kristine Stapelberg, Rapid City; sons, Robert Stapelberg, Rapid City and Thomas Stapelberg, Tucson, Ariz.; grandsons, Luke Drymalski and his wife Haley, Reno, Nev., and Noah Drymalski, Reno, Nev.; siblings and in-laws: LaVonne Wegner, Nancy & Chuck Aldrich, Judy & Jerry Zweifel, and Chuck & Marilee Wegner as well as a multitude of other family members and friends.

Christian Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 am on Monday, Feb. 7, at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Rapid City.  Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
