Wayne M. Kerzman, 56, Bismarck, died December 14, 2008 at his home. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, with a Rosary at 6:30 pm followed by a Parish Vigil at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, December 19, 2008 at Spirit of Life Catholic Church,801 1st Street SE, Mandan, North Dakota Mandan, with Rev. Chad Gion as celebrant. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Keystone, SD on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 11 am with full military honors. Wayne was born October 2, 1952 in Minot, ND the son of Roy and Jeanette (Gertz) Kerzman. He graduated from Underwood High School in 1970 and from NCB National College of Business in Rapid City, SD. Wayne enlisted in the US Army and was dedicated to the military. He was proud to have served his country. On May 28, 1973 he married Sue Leonard in Underwood, ND. Wayne worked as an Accountant and Comptroller for the US Air Force. Wayne will be remembered fondly for his wonderful sense of humor. He was a kind man who wouldnt say bad word about anyone. He was fun to be around and had many friends. Wayne had a special love for children, especially his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed acting as a clown for the Schriners in South Dakota. An outdoor enthusiast, Wayne liked to hunt, fish, downhill ski, and watch the squirrels in his yard. He had an appreciation for and collected guns and antiques. Father, brother, grandpa, uncle, and friend, he will be missed by all who knew him. Wayne is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jen (Bryan) Backer, Bismarck; two grandchildren, Christopher and Cameron Backer; his mother, Jeanette Kerzman, Underwood, ND; four sisters, Karen (Larry) Scholl, Cherokee Village, AR, Barb Hillery, Oceanside, CA, Wanda (Rodney) Jesser, Coleharbor, ND, Carol (Tom) Pelletier, Bismarck; one brother-in-law, Dick Wiese, Paulson, MT; two brothers, Boyd Louser, Glendive, MT and Larry (Cindy) Kerzman, Underwood, ND. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Sue, in 1994; his father; one sister, LaVonne Wiese; brother-in-law, Stan Hillery; sister-in-law, Janice Louser.
