Our Dad, Wayne McPherson passed away late Saturday night… He is one of the strongest people I've ever known! He overcame so many things in his life and He has really struggled the last 10 plus years with his breathing but even more so being home bound the last 5 years! He really battled with that, going from all your life taking care of everyone else and being fully independent to having to rely on other people for most everything. It's always been hard for him to ask for help but even in this it was more so because he didn't want to be a burden on anyone but he grew so much through this time and truly turned his heart towards Jesus for strength and peace! Even being in this for so many years I never heard him complain about it or have pity! He looked at every single morning as a blessing that he woke up and found joy in the simplest things and thanking God every single morning for the breath in his lungs even though he struggled to take every single breath! This really helped me grow and gave perspective in my own life to be grateful in everything.
