RAPID CITY | William B. Jones, 81, died on Monday April 9, 2018, at The Hospice House of the Black Hills.

William Ben "Bill" was born on Dec. 19, 1936, in Antigo, WI, the son of Benjamin and Marjorie (Kelenhofer) Jones.

He was united in marriage to Renee Heagy on Jan. 15, 1958.

He joined the U.S. Air Force and served his country proudly for 20 years,
accompanied by his wife and children. He then joined the Rapid City Police Department and served proudly for 18 years and retired to enjoy family, golf and painting.

William is survived by his wife, Renee Jones; daughter, Kimberly Jones; daughter, Katie (Harry) Onisko; and son, Kenneth (Margeret) Jones. He was blessed with six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, all of Rapid City.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim King officiating and the Police Honor Guard. A Celebration of Life will follow.

Inurnment, with military honors provided by Ellsworth Air Force Base Honor Guard will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 16, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
