William "Bill" Short, 63, former Rapid City, SD resident died April 24, 2015 at the Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada, after a brief illness. Bill was born on March 9, 1951 in Rapid City and graduated from Rapid City High School in 1969. After earning his degree in accounting from the University of Wyoming, he had his own CPA practice in Reno for the past 40 years. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Bill is survived by his wife: Pamela Short of Reno; his daughter Melanie Short of Sparks; his parents: Frank and Mary Ellen Short of Rapid City; and his sister Gerianne Short of Fort Collins, CO. Bill was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Ellen Short. There will be a private family service only at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Rapid City at a later date.
