Rapid City - Willis H. Hayen, 76, died Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the Golden Living Center-Prairie Hills, Rapid City. Willis was born November 10, 1938 at Parkston, SD to Henry and Catherine [Mohr] Hayen. This is the area he grew to adulthood and graduated from Parkston High School. Willis served in the SD National Guard. He married Elaine Hofkamp on February 12, 1961 at Sioux Falls, SD. Willis is survived by his wife: Elaine Hayen of Rapid City; one son: Brian (Lisha) Hayen of Hill City and their children: Nicholus, Trisha, and Catherine; daughter-in-law: Serena Hayen and her children: Dustin & Geri Raba and Douglas Hayen; one great-granddaughter Elise May; and four brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Michael Hayen, one brother Kenneth Hayen, and two sisters: Anna Margaret Hayen and Gloria Shonley. At the request of Willis there will be no public services.
